Friends Purpose Statement


FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY is a non-profit support organization for the Le Mars Public Library.



  1. To improve the services and resources of the library.
  2. To promote citizen involvement in library activities
  3. Services: funding for library programs,helpers for various activities,provide refreshments,fundraising,bringing in programs that could not otherwise be attempted.




Who can be a Friend? Anyone with a desire to see the Le Mars Public Library grow and has a willingness to be a part of that growth.

How does one join? Attend a meeting or send in application. Meetings are posted in advance and open to the public. Contact the library for specifics.

What is the Cost? The annual cost is minimal. Dues are collected annually. Gifts and donations made to the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY are deductible to the extent allowable by law to a 501(c)(3) organization.
