So, You've tried a Search engines to search the Internet, and you've discovered that it can be time consuming and unsatisfactory. The Internet isn't the only place to find information. Our library has gathered together some great resources for you to use to find the information you need.

ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA
Online Public Library Edition delivers two sites in one, with separate home
pages and resources for adults and children.

EBSCO HOST
Provides Databases for researchers with magazines and articles online. There are many full text articles in Ebscohost.

PLYMOUTH COUNTY NEWSPAPERS ONLINE:
The Akron "Hometowner" and the Le Mars papers from
the 1800s through present day Daily Sentinel are
now available online

MEDLINE: Authoritative answers
to health questions.

HOBBIES AND CRAFTS: Provides hundreds of
full text articles and online

TUMBLE BOOKS are online books for
Pk-3rd grade students. Books can be read
alone, or as read alongs. There are many books to choose from!

SMART INVESTING AT YOUR LIBRARY:
Find resources about investing. Learn best practices
for investing. This is access to some great informational
sites on investing.

USE SILO: The Iowa locator to find books, or CDs from
other libraries across the state. Call the Le Mars Library
with your selections.

Use WORLD CAT to find books, CDS, DVDs
and other items in libraries across the country.

Mango is an online language-learning system that can help you learn languages like Spanish, French Japanese, Portuguese, German, Mandarin, Greek, Italian and more. Great for ESL students as well.

P eo ple Smart provides free public records database. Provides access to county records.

Le Mars premier site for downloadable e Books, and audios. These downloads are all compatible with multiple types of devices from Nooks and Kindles to IPods, IPads, Blackberries, and more.

CONSUMER HEALTH DATABASE provides content covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine. This full-text database covers topics such as aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs & alcohol, fitness, nutrition & dietetics, children’s health, men & women’s health, and more:

TUMBLEREADABLES is a collection of read-along and e-book titles for older elementary, middle and high school students. Our collection includes classic literature, Shakespeare, YA/teen novels, and a growing number of exciting graphic novels. Many of these titles are AR and RC titles.
